Well, to a certain extent...yes. He does make some excellent points in an L.A. Times op-ed, and pretty much states that both the Iraq War and Immigration Bill were "home run" initiatives that haven't panned out the way he planned (which is pretty obvious), but could've very well succeeded if a less-risky approach had been taken to both of these plans.
In some ways, I'm inclined to agree...not necessarily with Kaus' suggestion of how things should have been handled...but I do agree that they should've been handled differently.
